What is Recombinant DNA Technology?
Recombinant DNA technology (rDNA technology) is a process that is used for producing artificial DNA through the combination of different genetic materials (DNA) from different sources.

In 1980 Paul Berg, an American biochemist and professor at Stanford University was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work on nucleic acids with particular regard to recombinant DNA.
